The Ingram Tom Moore Warriors showed resilience and offensive firepower Friday night in their contest against Crystal City, ultimately falling 46–26 but delivering several standout performances.
Quarterback Logan Spalding led the air attack with 231 passing yards and three touchdowns, connecting twice with JJ Stewart and once with Hunter Cobb. On the ground, Keaton Burroughs broke free for a thrilling 70-yard touchdown run, finishing with 111 rushing yards. Will Symm also contributed with some impressive runs, picking up 49 rushing yards and providing key offensive momentum. On the defensive side, Symm was a force as well, recording seven tackles and an interception.
The Warriors tallied 395 total yards of offense and 16 first downs, showcasing both balance and explosive playmaking. While turnovers proved costly, the team continued to fight until the final whistle and gained valuable experience against a strong Crystal City squad.
The Warriors will look to build on this effort and carry their momentum forward as they prepare for this week’s matchup against the Bandera Bulldogs. Warrior Nation should be proud of the heart and determination shown under the lights Friday night.

In a hard-fought matchup on Friday night, the Ingram Warriors came up short against Bandera, falling 17-21.
Quarterback Logan Spalding led the Warrior offense with 221 passing yards and two touchdowns. His top targets were Cayden Reed (8 catches, 63 yards, 1 TD) and Hunter Cobb (7 catches, 53 yards, 1 TD). On the ground, Keaton Burroughs carried the ball 27 times for 83 yards, while Will Symm added defensive impact with 14 total tackles, including a big tackle for loss.

“Our kids fought hard and showed a lot of heart,” said Head Coach Tate DeMasco. “We moved the ball well, and the effort on defense kept us in the game. There’s no quit in this group, and we’re building each week toward where we want to be.”
Looking ahead, the Warriors return home this Friday for their home opener against rival Comfort. With the community behind them, the team is eager to turn the page, protect their home field, and go after a big win under the Friday night lights.

Warriors Battle Comfort in High-Scoring Contest
The Ingram Warriors came out swinging in their home opener Friday night, pushing rival Comfort in a high-scoring matchup before falling 47–35.
The Warriors lit up the first quarter with a safety, a blocked kick returned for a touchdown, and an 11-yard scoring run to take a commanding 16–7 lead. By halftime, Ingram remained in front 22–14. Comfort, however, surged in the third quarter behind explosive runs, including a 90-yard kickoff return and a 90-yard touchdown rush, swinging momentum their way.
Despite the setback, the Warriors showed offensive firepower. Quarterback Logan Spalding threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns, with Cadyn Reed hauling in 8 catches for 70 yards and 2 scores. J.J. Stewart added 79 receiving yards, while Keaton Burroughs anchored the ground game with 82 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Will Symm, Bowden Zipp, and Keithan Garcia led a scrappy effort that kept the Warriors in striking distance until the final whistle.
“Although it was a tough loss on Friday, it was not for lack of effort,” said Head Coach Tate DeMasco. “The team is working hard to improve each week, and overall we are far ahead of where we’ve been at this point in years past. Looking ahead, we know the next two games will be tough, but the boys are ready for a win.”
With that determination, the Warriors will regroup and prepare for back-to-back challenges in the coming weeks, looking to build on their progress and capture a statement victory.

Warriors Show Growth in Hard-Fought Battle Against State-Ranked Blanco
The Ingram Warriors faced state-ranked Blanco on Friday night and came up short, falling 35–18. While the score wasn’t in the Warriors’ favor, the game showed just how far the program has come.
Last season, Ingram was shut out 35–0 by Blanco. This year, the Warriors battled until the final whistle, putting points on the board in both the third and fourth quarters and showing the grit and tenacity that has become a hallmark of the team.
Quarterback Logan Spalding threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Cadyn Reed (100 yards receiving, 1 TD) and J.J. Stewart (41 yards, 1 TD). Kicker Christian Carranza opened the scoring with a 28-yard field goal, while Reed added a late touchdown reception and two-point conversion run. On defense, Keithan Garcia led the way with 20 tackles, supported by Will Symm and Gerrardo Delgadillo, who combined for 23 stops.
“Blanco is always one of the toughest opponents on our schedule, and being state-ranked makes this a great test for us,” said Head Coach Tate DeMasco. “Last year we couldn’t get on the scoreboard against them, but this year our kids showed heart, resilience, and fight all the way through. We schedule a tough preseason on purpose—it forces us to grow, and it prepares us to be at our best when district play begins. The improvement is clear, and we’re hungry for more.”
Looking ahead, the Warriors will travel to face Brady this Friday. With steady growth through a challenging preseason slate, the team is confident that brighter days are ahead as they turn toward regular-season competition.

Warriors Earn First Win, Defeat Brady in Thrilling Battle
The Ingram Tom Moore Warriors delivered a huge victory Friday night, defeating Brady 37–33 in front of an energized home crowd. The win was not only the first of the season for the Warriors (1–4), but also a statement about their resilience, growth, and determination heading into district play.
Quarterback Logan Spalding had his best game of the year, completing 19 of 27 passes for 283 yards and 4 touchdowns. His top target was Cadyn Reed, who hauled in 11 catches for 151 yards, while J.J. Stewart added 51 yards and a touchdown. Will Symm showcased his versatility with 45 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown, and 2 touchdown receptions. Running back Kaleb Ward powered the ground game with 88 rushing yards and also caught a 27-yard touchdown pass.
The Warrior defense made key stops when it mattered most. Will Symm racked up 13 tackles, Gabe Delgadillo added 12 tackles and a sack, Kaden Garza had 10 stops, and Tyler Duglosh delivered 9 tackles with a tackle for loss.
On special teams, Christian Carranza nailed a 38-yard field goal and connected on three extra points, while Brodie Brandt had a big night punting with a 43-yard average, including a 48-yard punt and one downed inside the 20.
The Warriors’ effort was recognized across the Hill Country as Logan Spalding was named Hill Country Association Offensive Player of the Week, and Brodie Brandt was named Special Teams Player of the Week. Fans can follow the honors and other updates at @HillCountryCoach on X (formerly Twitter).
“This was the kind of win our kids needed and deserved,” said Head Coach Tate DeMasco. “We’ve played one of the toughest preseason schedules around, and it has forced us to grow. Tonight, you saw a team that refused to quit and found a way to finish. That’s the kind of effort that can carry us into district and hopefully back into the playoffs.”
The victory was especially meaningful after a grueling start to the season against powerhouse programs. Last year, the Warriors proved they could fight their way into the playoffs, and this year’s tough preseason has been by design — preparing the team for the battles ahead.
Next up, the Warriors will travel to face the Randolph Ro-Hawks (2–3) this Friday in their district opener.

Warrior Nation Dominates Homecoming Week — On and Off the Field
It was a banner week for Ingram Warrior Nation, capped by a commanding 44-7 victory over Florence under the Friday night lights.
Homecoming spirit hit record levels with 53 floats in Wednesday’s parade — the largest in school history — and for the first time, every student organization was represented. The High School Softball and Elementary Student Council floats tied for the “Warrior Pride from the Inside” award, while the ITM Alumni float earned the Community Spirit Award.
The celebration continued with a Community Pep Rally, headlined by parade Grand Marshal and keynote speaker Michael Hailey, namesake of the Michael Hailey Award. His powerful message on pride, perseverance, and community brought Warrior Nation to its feet before the night ended with a roaring bonfire.
That same fire carried into Friday’s game, where the Warriors delivered a complete team performance.
Junior Logan Spalding threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Joshua Woodruff on a 42-yard score and Jason Stewart on a 5-yard strike. William Symm led the ground game with 82 yards and a 52-yard touchdown run, while Christopher Alva added a 2-yard score. On defense, Madden Brooks turned heads with a 32-yard fumble return touchdown. Kicker Christian Carranza nailed a 33-yard field goal and added five extra points.
The Warrior defense was relentless, holding Florence to just 144 total yards on 50 plays. Kaden Garza led with 10 tackles, with big contributions from Tyler Duglosch, Shaan Swisher, and Zach Harder.
The Warriors now head into a bye week, a welcome break after battling through early-season injuries and a tough preseason schedule. The downtime will allow players to recover and refocus before traveling to face Marion on October 24.
“This week gives us a chance to clean up the little things and focus on the game ahead,” said Head Coach Tate DeMasco. “We’ve battled through injuries and adversity, but this group continues to show heart and discipline. If we stay locked in and play Warrior football, we will finish district play strong and confident.”
From parade to pep rally to the lights of Warrior Stadium — Ingram proved that Warrior Nation is loud, proud, and stronger than ever.
BYE Week
Warriors Reset and Reload: Road Test at Marion on Friday
After a well-timed bye, the Ingram Warriors are rested, refocused, and ready to take on Marion in a crucial district matchup this Friday night. The open week allowed the team to recover, regroup, and fine-tune the details as they prepare for one of the biggest games of the season.
Quarterback Logan Spalding continues to lead a balanced and confident offense. The Warriors’ backfield features a powerful one-two punch with Will Symm and Kaleb Ward, both known for their physical running styles and ability to move the chains. Up front, a disciplined offensive line has been key to the team’s success. In the passing game, Spalding has reliable targets in Cadyn Reed and JJ Stewart, two explosive receivers capable of making big plays downfield.
On special teams, Christian Carranza provides consistency in the kicking game, while Brodie Brandt continues to flip the field as a dependable punter—giving Ingram a key edge in field position.
Defensively, the Warriors remain aggressive and unified with a hard-hitting group that has delivered game-changing stops all season. In the trenches, the D-line brings power and pressure, anchoring a defensive front that controls the line of scrimmage.
Head Coach Tate DeMasco said the team is locked in and ready for the challenge. “The bye week gave us a chance to regroup, clean up the little things, and get everyone focused on finishing district play strong. The boys are ready to compete and finish the job.”
The Warriors will travel to Marion this Friday night, looking to continue their push toward a strong district finish and a playoff berth. Fans are encouraged to make the trip and show their Warrior pride as Ingram battles to keep its momentum rolling.

The Javelinas dominated the time of possession, running 60 plays on the night and did so with a whopping 19 penalties for 171 yards. The Crystal City (1-0) defense held Ingram's rushing attack to 95 yards, including 65 from quarterback Kye Hightower, who scored once for the Warriors (0-1).
Ingram held an early 3-0 lead thanks to a 26-yard field goal from sophomore Christian Carranza, but the offense could never get untracked. Ingram Tom Moore coach Tate DeMasco turned to Logan Spalding for stretches at quarterback because Hightower was plagued by cramping. The hot and humid conditions led to plenty of cramping from both teams.
Trailing 19-3, Hightower scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 10:10 left in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors intercepted Bandera quarterback Dylan Peace four times and recovered a fumble, but Ingram couldn't convert it into points. The Warriors defense proved stout against the run, but when Peace wasn't tossing picks, he was completing passes. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns, including 94 and 82-yard scoring strikes to receiver Jeffry Thomas, who finished with 10 catches for 273 yards.
Ingram trailed the entire game, but tied it in the first quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run by Kye Hightower, who rushed for 85 yards. Hightower has scored touchdowns in 14 consecutive games during his Ingram career.
Bandera held a 14-7 lead at halftime and extended it to 21-7 on its first possession of the second half. After a Peyton Middleton interception, Hightower connected on a 48-yard bomb to Maxon Driggers to put the Warriors with a touchdown with 5:23 left in the third quarter.
Peace connected with Thomas on the Bulldogs next possession — this time an 82-yard pass. Peace finished the night 19-of-31 with 392 passing yards.
Ingram had one final scoring drive, this time thanks to a major Bandera penalty on Hightower and when quarterback Logan Spalding connected with Bowdoin Zipp on a 31-yard play that put the Warriors on Bandera's 2. On the next play, Andres Boites punched it in to cut the lead to 28-21.
However, that was a close as the Warriors would get. Ingram is now 0-2 on the season and faces Comfort on the road next week.

The Warriors fell to 0-3 on the season and face challenging road games at Blanco and Brady in the next two weeks. Ingram Tom Moore Coach Tate DeMasco said the Warriors had opportunities to win the game, and the defense made some critical stops.
However, Comfort's Topper Sterling rushed for 217 yards and four touchdowns in the first half to help the Bobcats to a 27-23 lead at halftime. Sterling finished with 300 yards but was held scoreless in the second half.
Ingram's Kye Hightower countered that effort with 115 yards and two first-half touchdowns. Quarterback Logan Spalding threw for a touchdown and ran on a 20-yard keeper for a second-half score, which was set up by a spectacular 48-yard pass to Bowdoin Zipp.

Blanco dominated the time of possession and rolled up 445 yards of total offense, running 62 plays despite numerous penalties. The host Panthers held a 21-0 lead at halftime, and their defense stopped Ingram runners for losses 10 times, including a sack to end the game.
The Warriors got past the 40-yard line twice in the first half, but their drives stalled. Late in the second half, they got into the red zone twice but couldn't score. Ingram's longest play of the night was a 27-yard passing play from quarterback Logan Spalding to running back Kye Hightower.
Blanco scored on grinding drives and with big plays. The Panthers are 9-0 against the Warriors since 2004. The Warriors are now in a difficult position to start the season 0-4 for the first time since 2016 when Ingram finished 0-10.
The Warriors face Brady on Friday night on the road. The Bulldogs are off to a 3-1 start, with their only loss to perennial power Mason. Ingram is 2-8 against the Bulldogs since 2004, with its last win coming in a 48-48 shootout in 2018.

The host Bulldogs converted two Ingram Tom Moore fumbles into touchdowns, including a 20-yard scoop and score off a stripped kickoff return that gave Brady two scores in 20 seconds in the third quarter. Playing on their homecoming, the host Bulldogs rolled up 335 rushing yards, leaving the Warriors on the field defensively for long stretches.
Junior quarterback Logan Spalding threw two touchdowns for the Warriors, including a 5-yard score to Hunter Cobb.

Randolph 28, Ingram Tom Moore 14
Ingram Tom Moore High School had three opportunities to score Friday night against visiting Randolph but couldn't convert in a 28-14 loss to the Ro-Hawks in the district opener for both teams.
The Warriors answered the first two Randolph scores, not getting rattled by the Ro-Hawk's 65-yard scoring run by Sam Oakland on the first play from scrimmage. Instead, Ingram mounted a nine-play, 63-yard scoring drive that quarterback Logan Spalding capped with a 13-yard pass to Cadyn Reed with 7:39 left in the first quarter.
"I thought we played some of our best football tonight," Ingram Tom Moore coach Tate DeMasco said.
With four games remaining, the Warriors must win at least three to comfortably qualify for the UIL playoffs. However, Ingram is now 0-6 and faces another long road trip next Thursday at Florence.
For the second consecutive game, the Warriors controlled the time of possession but couldn't convert to cap-scoring drives. Senior running back Kye Hightower rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries, but was held scoreless for the second time this season.
Quarterback Logan Spalding threw for 122 yards on 12-of-19 passing, with two touchdowns and an interception.
Trailing 14-7 in the first quarter, the Warriors mounted a 12-play scoring drive, where Hightower did a bulk of the work, carrying the ball seven times and catching an 18-yard pass from Spalding, who capped the drive with a 4-yard scoring pass to Bowden Zipp.
After trading punts, Randolph broke the game open with a nine-play 83-yard drive that quarterback Collin Stucki ended with a 40-yard scoring run. Trailing 21-14, the Warriors had a chance to tie the game but their drive stalled at the Randolph 23.
Randolph took control of the game for good with 43.6 seconds left in the third quarter on a 7-yard run by Cody Howard, who led the Ro-Hawks with 123 rushing yards on 13 carries, almost entirely in the second half.
