The Lady Warriors’ 4x100-meter relay team—Reilly Mayhall, Annie Givens, Kelsi Chenault, and Payton Ream—set a new school record of 50.3 while taking first place.
“This was something the girls set as a goal early in the season,” head coach Brent Beadle said. “They’ve been incredibly intentional in how they’ve prepared.”
And the success didn’t stop there.
Multiple Warriors qualified for the Texas Relays, one of the largest meets in the nation. Junior Jaycee Crawley earned a spot in the discus, ranking among the top throwers in the state, while both the boys’ 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also secured qualification.
Across both meets, the Warriors delivered strong performances in nearly every event. Crawley continued her dominant season in the throws, Langbein and Cobb picked up individual wins on the track, and the relay teams—on both the boys’ and girls’ sides—continue to emerge as a major strength for the program.
Even more encouraging is the rise of the next wave. Underclassmen are already pushing toward school records—signaling that this momentum may be just the beginning.
With district approaching, the goal is clear: compete at a high level and position both teams for a run at a district title.
