Teacher Incentive Allotment

House Bill 3 (HB 3), passed by the 86th Texas Legislature in June of 2019, established an optional Teacher Incentive Allotment with a stated goal of a six-figure salary for teachers who prioritize teaching in high-needs areas and rural district campuses. Ingram ISD opted to create a local designation system to allow our teachers to choose to pursue a Recommended, Exemplary, or Master Level designation that will produce Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) funds from the state for each designated teacher that we employ.

Ingram ISD believes that our teachers are the most important school-based factor for improving student achievement. The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) allows us to provide additional compensation to our most highly effective teachers. Therefore, Ingram ISD allocates 100% of the TIA funds we receive to additional compensation and TRS benefits for the designated teacher. This compensation will be provided as a stipend added to our already competitive teacher salary schedule. Please see our guidebook for additional information about our local designation system.
