After a brilliant high school career, Ingram Tom Moore High School senior Frederick Cannon has his sights set on a collegiate tennis career, and will keep his talents in Texas. 

Cannon signed to play tennis and attend Howard Payne University in Brownwood, where he will study business or computers. Cannon earned a Level 1 cybersecurity certificate from St. Phillips College in San Antonio last week. 

On the tennis court, Cannon shined with a regional championship in his sophomore campaign and then finished that season with a third-place finish in the University Interscholastic League state tournament. In his junior season, Cannon won the district, defended his regional title and earned a repeat third-place state finish. And to round out his career, he repeated as district champion and reached the regional quarterfinals.
