Tom Moore's Pritt earns KPUB scholarship
Ingram Tom Moore High School senior Jakeb Pritt made a bit of history this last week when he became the Kerrville Public Utility Board's first scholarship winner aimed at trade school students.

Pritt will attend Ranger College in Ranger, Texas, majoring in welding technologies. Pritt will receive $1,000 per year for two years.

Pritt was one of three Kerr County students to receive awards from the utility, which serves most of Kerr County, including parts of Ingram.

The Kerrville Public Utility Board picked three high school seniors — two from Tivy — to receive scholarships to continue their education.

A selection committee that ranks the students based on a short essay, economic need, work history and academic achievements, and school and community involvement.

"KPUB is honored to help these deserving students continue their education," said Mike Wittler, KPUB general manager and CEO. "Each year, our selection committee is so impressed with the quality of students applying for these scholarships here in our community."
