I feel truly blessed that my first teaching job after a 20-year career in the Army as a Special Operations (Civil Affairs) Officer is at Ingram Tom Moore High School! The administration allowed me to student teach Economics and US History for five months last year as part of a Military Transition Program. The students, staff, and parents of Ingram made me feel right at home and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else!  

I'm originally from Coastal North Carolina and joined the military after witnessing 9-11 unfold on television. I met my wife, Teresa, who is also a veteran while serving in the Air Force. One of her stipulations for marrying me was for us to retire in the Texas Hill Country. After seven deployments and twenty years of service, I decided to retire from the Army. Teresa is a San Antonio Native and wanted to raise our two boys (Ben and Beau) in the most beautiful and vibrant outdoor spots in all of Texas, Kerr County!  

Like many of the kids of the 90s, I was raised in a single-parent household. It was teachers, coaches, and other parents of the community took an active role in ensuring kids in our community had a safe spot to thrive. I learned how to play sports and grew into the man I am today because of the selfless attitude of my neighbors and community. That resonated with me as I decided to teach after my military career. I look forward to coaching Football (Assistant Coach, Defensive Backs), Basketball (Middle School), and serving as the Head Coach for Boys' Track and Field. 

If your kids are a Junior at Ingram Tom Moore Highschool, I'll see them in class for US History Since 1877 where we are going to crush the EOC and Texas STAAR tests for History!
