Hello,  My name is Melinda Rodriguez Herrada. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I attended college at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Geography & Environmental Studies in 2008. I have had the opportunity to teach in the Japanese public school system in Misawa, Japan for three years and nine years in the United States in general education, bilingual, dual language and ESL programs.

My family includes my husband of 30 years and two adult children.  I'm so proud, they have both graduated from college and are working in their career fields.  My hobbies/interest include gardening, reading and taking care of my chickens.
