Together, we achieve more...

AR store volunteers give of their valuable time to make certain that the students of Ingram Elementary School have a wide variety of choices when they visit our AR store. Students earn points by reading AR books and passing quizzes. The accumulated points can be redeemed at our outstanding AR store. Each class visits the store once a month. This project would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. Thanks to them for their hard work and dedication.

Thanks to the generosity of a local donation, we were able to purchase about 20 new books for our library along with the necessary quizzes. The children of IES are fortunate to have the latest books to hit the market along with the matching AR quizzes. Reading strengthens all areas of learning.

We have purchased an additional 100 new quizzes this year to add to our collection, including several voiced quizzes. This is a great method to test our youngest readers. Our kinder students are beginning to read and take quizzes on their own. It is wonderful to see our youngest students begin to read and comprehend what they have read.

PALS is a very helpful group of high school students who visit the elementary campus once a week to assist our students. The elementary students look up to and admire these older kids. They are very positive role models for our students. Our students are becoming better readers and students because of the consistent help from these high school students.

Congratulations to Mrs. Strand’s third grade class and Mrs. Witt’s fourth grade class. They were the first two classrooms to reach a total of 1,000 AR points.
